Console Tables

For hallways, aim for a table depth between 25-35cm to ensure adequate passing space, especially if the hallway is narrower than 90cm. Length can vary from 80cm to 120cm, depending on wall space, leaving at least 15cm on either side of the table for visual balance.

For oak console tables, regularly dust with a soft, dry cloth and immediately wipe up spills with a damp cloth, drying thoroughly to prevent water marks. Painted console tables should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could damage the paintwork. Always use coasters under drinks and avoid direct prolonged sunlight for both finishes.

Console tables featuring two or more drawers are highly practical for keeping keys, mail, and small accessories out of sight and organised. Models with an open bottom shelf provide additional space for decorative baskets or shoes, helping to keep your entryway tidy.

Avoid covering the entire surface, leaving some clear space to prevent an overcrowded look.

Many of our console tables arrive fully assembled, requiring only unpacking, which is ideal for immediate placement. However, some larger designs or those with intricate leg structures may require minimal assembly, such as attaching the legs to the tabletop, which usually takes 10-15 minutes.

Yes, many console tables are suitable for this, especially those with a depth of 30cm or more, providing enough surface for a laptop and mouse. Their typical height, ranging from 75cm to 85cm, often aligns well with standard desk chair heights for comfortable short-term use.
